The recent three-day weekend attracted tourists to Thailand’s breathtaking natural wonders. Doi Inthanon near Chiang Mai, the highest mountain summit in Thailand, was visited by over 10,000 people.

Additionally, tourists visited a number of other natural sites.  A tourism operator in the western province of Kanchanaburi said that the surge of tourists in the Sangkhla Buri area during the holiday weekend produced over THB30 million baht. During the colder months, the area is renowned for its misty scenery.

The Lam Ta Kong viewpoint was another popular destination. The campgrounds near the stunning viewpoint were packed with tourists who wanted to spend the night. The park’s administrator said that all accommodations were reserved for the holiday weekend.

Khao Yai is the very first national park in Thailand. Khao Yai National Park has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO due to the natural richness of wildlife. Hotels in the park are ideal for luxurious camping against the background of the area’s captivating wilderness.

Doi Inthanon near Chiang Mai is the country’s highest mountain peak and attracts many outdoor enthusiasts to its campsites. Doi Inthanon sits at an elevation of 2,565 meters above sea level.

The region of Sangkhla Buri in Kanchanaburi features several magnificent sights like the “underwater temple.”

If you are a nature enthusiast planning to get a long weekend getaway, one of these 3 locations can be the best choice.
