World Beach Guide, a website based in the United Kingdom, rated Thailand’s untouched Koh Kradan island off the coast of Trang province as the top of its “Top 100 Beaches on Earth 2023 list.”

Four more Thai beaches made it to the top 100 list:
* Railay Beach, situated in Krabi province, came in at number 9
* Freedom Beach in Phuket ranked at 18
* Laem Beach, found on Koh Yao Yai island in Phang Nga province, ranked 21
* Tanot Bay Beach, located on Koh Tao island in Surat Thani province, claimed the 44th spot.

Among the 40 Trang Islands off the Andaman Coast of Thailand, Koh Kradan is undoubtedly the most scenic. It excludes the hustle and noise of other well-known tourist spots like Phuket and Koh Phi Phi.

Unlike the neighboring island of Koh Muk, Koh Kradang has no villages or local inhabitants. The remainder of the island comprises Hat Chao Mai National Park, small resorts, and a convenience store.

Koh Kradan was declared the finest beach in the world by the World Beach Guide due to its largely undisturbed natural beauty, crystal waters, powdery sand, and peaceful atmosphere.

The primary beach on the island is Paradise Beach, which features turquoise waters and 1.5 km of white sand. In addition, Sunset Beach is a small, rocky shoreline on the island’s western side, accessible via a path through the forest.

The World Beach Guide stated:

Since the Andaman Sea waters encompassing the island are comparatively protected and shallow, they are always warm, making them ideal for swimming. In addition, they are crystal clear, making the protected waters perfect for snorkeling.

The water is extremely shallow during low tide, so you’ll need to paddle quite a distance before it’s deep enough to swim fully.

If you’re feeling really active, there’s a renowned kayak route around the island that can be done in less than three hours, even if you go slowly.

Anucha Burapachaisri, government spokesperson, proudly declared that Thailand has five beaches on the World Beach Guide’s Top 100 list, crediting the combined efforts of the tourism industry and the Thai population in protecting these beautiful environments.
