Oktoberfest Is Back In Bangkok

After a two-year postponement due to Covid-19 pandemic, Oktoberfest will return to Bangkok. The renowned Bavarian beer festival will be hosted in Sofitel grand ballroom in Bangkok and starts from November 3 to 4 from 6 pm to 1 am.

The guests will wear traditional Bavarian attire and feast on braised pork legs, chicken grilled in butter, pretzels, sauerkraut, and mouthwatering sausages

Oktoberfest is traditionally hosted in Germany for two weeks, concluding on the first Sunday of October. In 1810, the celebration was originally conducted to celebrate the marriage of the Bavarian crown prince to a princess.

Even today, Oktoberfest is renowned around the world as a very entertaining celebration for beer lovers.

Since its introduction to Bangkok in 1980, more individuals have participated in the event since then. In 2019 the festival attracted 1,700 attendees.

Despite the reduced size of the event compared to the pre-pandemic years, our commitment to providing our guests with the finest Oktoberfest experience will remain the same.

On the first day, Georg Schmidt, German Ambassador and Michael Welser, GTCC president will traditionally tap the first keg as part of the festival’s opening ceremony.
