Thailand Launches Digital Travel Pass To Promote Tourism

Together with 5 big corporations in the country, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) launched a digital travel pass called TAGTHAi Pass which is designed to boost the country’s tourism sector.

The 5 corporations are AIS, Dusit Thani, Kasikorn Bank, ThaiBev, and TRUE.

The app’s main function is to provide additional sales and distribution channels to create opportunities for tourism operators to boost their income by getting more access to travelers throughout the world while also offering travelers a simple tool for use while in Thailand.

The TAGTHAi Pass is the country’s first digital pass for tourism through the TAGTHAi application which is compatible with both Android and iOS. The app will be a one-stop platform for tourism services in Thailand, offering travelers a travel pass, travel recommendations, and emergency contact service.

The TAGTHAi Pass also allows tourists to access tourism services like highly recommended places and services by locals, such as attractions, massage and spas, local activities, restaurants, and more.

Therefore TAGTHAi pass will be an all-in-one travel pass with lots of advantages and incentives that can be claimed by scanning the application’s unique QR code.

Currently, the app can be used in the country’s most popular travel destinations like Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket. More cities to be introduced to the app soon.
