How much is a 20-year Thailand Elite Privilege Visa?

The 20-year Thailand Elite Privilege Visa, identified as the Reserve Membership package, comes with 5 million Thai Baht and 120 Privilege Points annually, which can be redeemed for various privileges. How to apply for Thailand Elite Privilege Visa?

Select your desired membership package to apply for a Thailand Elite Privilege Visa. You must complete the application form with your personal information and submit any required documentation.

Once your application has been submitted, it will go through a screening process, and if approved, you will receive an invoice for the membership fee. After the fee has been paid, you will receive your membership details and visa, allowing you to stay in Thailand for an extended period and enjoy various benefits.

How much is the application fee?

Applicants are required to include an initial payment of 50,000 Baht, inclusive of value-added tax. This fee will be deductible as part of the Membership fee once the applicant is approved by the immigration office.

However, it is important to note that this fee is non-refundable if they fail to complete the full payment within 30 days after receiving the invoice. If the payment is not completed within the specified timeframe, the applicant will be required to submit a new membership application with an additional application fee of 50,000 Baht.

How do I pay for Thailand Privilege?

Payments for Thailand Elite Privilege Visa applications must now be made directly from the bank account of the visa applicant. During the payment process, please ensure this is the case. The visa applicant’s name must be specified in the transaction details if the payment comes from a different account.

New Escrow Service for Thailand Elite Visa Applicants

Understanding that some clients might encounter daily transfer limits, we’ve introduced an escrow service for applicants. If you cannot make the whole payment due to these limits, we can accept the payment on your behalf.

Where to affix your Elite Privilege Visa?

Affixing your Elite Privilege Visa can be done on:

What currency can you open a bank account in?

You can open either a local Thai baht account, or a foreign currency account. However, the latter is only available with certain banks, and in certain localities within the kingdom.

I need a local bank account. Does my membership make me eligible?

Yes, the Thailand Elite Privilege Visa membership lets you open an account with any local bank. You must only present your membership letter, card, and passport to open an account.

How much money should I have in my bank account to apply for Elite Privilege Visa?

There is no requirement to provide a bank statement when applying for an Elite Privilege Visa.

Can I apply for a credit card in Thailand?

Thailand Elite Privilege Visa members can apply for a credit card through Bangkok Bank, provided they must present a passport, membership card, or membership letter and open a fixed deposit account with a minimum deposit of THB 50,000.

The fixed deposit account guarantees the credit card and ensures the bank can recover any outstanding debt in case of default.

I have a tourist visa; can I apply for a Thailand Elite Privilege Visa?

Anyone with a tourist visa can transition to an Elite Privilege visa in Thailand, provided they haven’t overstayed their current visa.

Can I apply for Thailand Elite Privilege Visa while in Thailand?

Yes. All applicants can apply for a Thailand Elite Privilege Visa regardless of location.

Does the Thailand Elite Privilege Visa require health insurance?

Elite Privilege Visa members going to Thailand are not required to have health or COVID insurance.

My passport has less than five years of validity. What happens when I am enrolled as a member?

Your Thailand Elite Privilege Visa will have a validity that reflects the remaining validity of your passport. If your passport is valid for three more years, your visa will only be valid for three more years and reset after renewal.

Can I apply for the Thailand Elite Privilege Visa if I have overstayed?

No. You have to make your exit and face the penalties imposed before you can apply for membership.

Can I extend the validity of my Thailand Elite Privilege Visa?

Yes. If you would like to extend your current visa, there are a few options. For 5-year Gold Membership visa, they can extend or upgrade to higher packages before their current membership expires.

After how many days should I apply for a stay extension?

Special Entry Visa holders must make a report every three (3) months with the Immigration authorities. As for Privilege Visa Entry holders, it can be done once every 365 days.

How can I request personal assistant service for arrival?

Email us your flight details so we know when to have Elite Personal Assistants (EPA) standing by upon your arrival or departure. You can also request Elite Personal Assistants service even if you have just a few hours’ layover in Thailand.

How can I tell the Thailand Privilege personal assistants from regular airport staff?

It’s easy to distinguish your assistant upon arrival. They will wear a golden uniform, which will help tell them apart from airport staff. They will also be carrying a signboard with your name.

At which airports can I request Elite Personal Assistants service?

Elite Personal Assistants service is only available at Suvarnabhumi, Chiang Mai, and Phuket International.

What services can my Elite Personal Assistant (EPA) do for me?

Your Elite Personal Liaison can process the following on your behalf:

  1. Driver’s license application
  2. New passport processing for new Elite Privilege Visa members
  3. Extension of stay
  4. Opening of bank account at Bangkok Bank
How can I avail of my complimentary spa service?

Let us know the details of your reservation, i.e. the time, the name of the spa, service type, name of therapist, etc. and we’ll do the rest for you. Please make sure that you make a booking with us 6 hours ahead of the appointment with the spa.

How soon can we get confirmation of our reservation?

Our call center staff will have to liaison with the spa and confirm that the chosen schedule is available. If not, we will get back to you with alternate options. If the reservation is made during the evening, confirmation will be in the morning.

How can I avail of complimentary golf green fees?

Call our center, or email us, with the details of your activity. Please make the booking with us at least 7 days so we can liaise properly, as each golf course in the program have different policies or regulations governing bookings.

Can I bring guests along with me to play?

Yes. However, they will have to pay for their own fees with the club.

What paperwork should I prepare for the 90-day report?

You will need the following:

  1. A 2-inch by 2-inch photograph
  2. A letter of endorsement from the Thailand Elite program
  3. TM6 and TM7
  4. Thailand Elite passport

What will the authorities do if I don’t make the 90-day report?

The government has cracked down on overstaying aliens in the past years. Anyone found overstaying illegally will be subjected to a ban. This means that you won’t be able to enter Thailand within a specific period of time, dependent on how long you have been overstaying.

In addition, you’d also be made to pay penalties. The minimum is THB500 for every day that you overstayed, and up to THB20,000.

Can you buy property on Thailand Elite Privilege Visa?

Yes, purchasing property in Thailand while holding a Thailand Elite Privilege Visa is possible. Many foreign nationals use the visa program to invest in Thai real estate.

However, it’s important to note that the visa does not provide additional property rights or privileges. The rules for property ownership in Thailand can be complex and may be subject to certain conditions and restrictions.

It is recommended to seek guidance from a qualified lawyer or real estate agent to fully understand the regulations and requirements surrounding property ownership in Thailand.

Can I apply for Elite Privilege Visa if I'm currently holding or have a history of having a volunteer visa?

A volunteer visa will disqualify you from the Elite Privilege Visa program.

Can I apply for Elite Privilege Visa if I'm currently holding Education Visa (Non-ED) visa?

Applicants currently holding Education Visa must submit the following documents for application consideration:

1. School Establishment License from the Ministry of Education (สช.2) or the Office of Basic Educational Commission (OBEC) or the Office of Private Educational Commission (OPEC)
2. School registration (ร.2)
3. Student Certification from school
4. Academic Record, grade reports, and attendance record
5. Class Activities photos (If available)

Are Thailand Elite Privilege Visa members required to pay tax on foreign-sourced income?

If you stay in Thailand for 180 days or more in a tax year, any foreign income you bring into the country will be taxable. This includes money from jobs, businesses, or properties abroad. Starting January 1, 2024, any foreign income you bring to Thailand will be subject to tax.

If you’ve already paid tax on this income in the country where you earned it, Thailand might offer some tax relief. Thailand has agreements with some countries that might allow you to reduce your tax based on the tax you already paid elsewhere. It’s advisable to contact us for detailed guidance.

Terms and Condition of Privileges
The terms and conditions for Privileges in the E-Privilege shall be incorporated into and form part of the relevant Thailand Privilege Card Membership Agreement (“Agreement”) for each Member. Words defined in the Agreement shall have the same meanings as in the E-Privilege.
Unless otherwise stated in the relevant Agreement for each Member, the following general terms and conditions of privileges will apply:
  1. Prior to usage of any Privilege hereunder, the Member is required to present their card to the relevant Service Providers, as the card is a proof of your Membership identity. The card is non-transferable, and can only be used by the Member whose name and photo appears on the card.
  2. Signatures as appearing on: a) the reverse side of the card, b) on the Thailand Privilege Card Membership application form, and c) in the passport, will be required from the Member for the use of any services, benefits and privileges in the E-Privilege.
  3. Benefits, privileges and services as well as Service Providers in the E-Privilege may be changed from time-to-time by the participating company(the“ Company”) without prior notice. Therefore, please contact the Member Contact Center to confirm the availability of the privileges and/or make a reservation prior to using any services, benefits and privileges.
  4. Certain services, benefits, and privileges of the relevant Service Providers are occasionally offered for an exclusive period of time. As a result, the availability of services, benefits, and privileges of these Service Providers may normally be modified and/or suspended and/or cancelled from time-to-time without prior notice.
  5. Pursuant to the terms and conditions as stated in the E-Privilege, should the Member cancel a reservation for certain services, the Member must notify the Member Contact Center well in advance, otherwise the Member shall be obliged to pay the penalty to Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd.at the applicable rate for the relevant privileges as stated in the E-Privilege. In the event that the Member accrues “no shows” or “late cancellations”, all privileges may be suspended until the Member pays all penalties and submits proof of the payment to Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd.
  6. The Member agrees to incur any fees, charges, or other payment as stipulated in the Agreement, or the E-Privilege, or as imposed by the Service Providers within the time specified by the Service Providers or Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd.
  7. All invoices for the fees, charges or any other payment owed by the Member to Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd. will be sent to the Member as necessary.
  8. As stipulated in the Agreement, Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd. shall have the right to take appropriate action and/or withdraw all rights and privileges conferred to the Member and/or cancel the Membership should there be a breach of the relevant Agreement.
  9. The E-Privilege may be amended by Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd. on a regular basis. The Member agrees to comply with the terms and conditions as stipulated in the latest E-Privilege.
  10. The Member agrees and acknowledges that at any time, and at Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd. discretion, Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd. may waive its right to demand of the Member any compliance with the terms and conditions of the relevant Agreement and/or terms and conditions of the E-Privilege. Such a waiver shall not affect any right of Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd. to enforce the terms and conditions of the relevant Agreement and the terms and conditions of the E-Privilege at any time in the future.
  11. Any of the privileges may be cancelled if they run counter to the laws of Thailand.
