The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) would like to inform everyone that the Ubon Ratchathani Candle Festival, one of the most famous festivals of the year will be held from July 11-17 2022.

The Ubon Ratchathani Candle Festival is a long-standing festival in the Northeastern (Isan) city of Ubon Ratchathani, which commemorates the beginning of the 3-month Buddhist Lent season. The celebration is a vibrant display of Isan culture and tradition, accompanied by music, dancing, and the famous march of finely carved candle sculptures through the streets. Typically, these sculptures portray various elements of religious life and are dedicated to temples.
